How many years were you with the University of Alaska Fire Department?

Approximately Five Years

 

What is your favorite memory, story, experience, etc. while at the University Fire Department?

There are certainly many experiences that I had at the University Fire Department that I will always remember, however driving Engine 16 code red on a sunny day and leaning about/exploring the “utilidoor” system with Captain Jerry Phillips are two that come to mind immediately.

Attended East Anchorage High School and graduated in 2006

Member of AFD Explorer Post 264 from 2005-2006

Member of the University Fire Department from 2006-2011

Promoted to the rank of Engineer in 2009

President of the University Fire Department Student Firefighter’s Association from 2009-2011

Member of the Anchorage Fire Department from 2011-Present

Proud member of the IAFF - Anchorage Professional Firefighters Union Local 1264
