I started my fire service career in Fairbanks, AK in the Fall of 2002 as a volunteer at Chena-Goldstream Fire & Rescue. 12 years later I still serve at CGFR in the capacity of a Lieutenant and Acting Battalion Officer. I began the Fire Science Program at UAF in 2003 and was hired at the University Fire Department and the end of that year. I worked on C-shift for my two year tour at UFD. I was under BC Styers, Captain Mead (Prior to his Promotion to BC) Captain Phillips, Captain Fleagle, and Captain House. I was hired at Fort Wainwright Fire Department in Feb. 2006 and still presently work there as a Captain assigned to E-91 at Sta. 3.
